"I TREE!"

Tree and fancy freeeeeee......

Erm, I mean Three.

She's three you guys. My last baby. My tiny little last baby turned 3 yesterday and I can't even....

Can you believe it, because I can't. She still needs her snuggles but other than that there's so much she doesn't need from me and that's just not fair. I never gave her permission to grow up and here she is yet again, disobeying me, like she's her own person or something.

There's so much I can say about my little spitfire but I'll share some pictures instead. Her personality shines brighter than a star (they're both full of gas so it's a good metaphor).

Happy Birthday baby girl!

Love,

A day late, a dollar short

I meant to write this post out yesterday, but, you know.........  Life.
The 26th was Bear's last day of school (possibly of pre-k, possibly not, but that's a story for a different day, or basically a story for the end of August when I actually know myself, because everyone involved with Bear's I.E.P. handled this move to another district like they had no effing brains.) and yesterday was the first official day of summer vacation in our house.

Surprisingly no one died, or maimed anyone. So....... the outlook is pretty good for us I think. We're still early on in the season though.  Check back in 3 months, it may be a wildly different story.

*I'm actually smack dab in a "Monster Week" episode and writing this at 9:15 p.m. *cough cough* HOW ABOUT SUM PICTURES YOU GUYS!!?!?!?!?!?!?

Is basically what I'm saying. ;)

Bear's school throws a last day bash (picnic for pre-k) so I got to go be pulled in a million different directions by my kids and then drag them home kicking and screaming (mostly ZO) afterwards, but it was a really nice time

"Last day of school! Heck yea!!!!" - says Bear
                                                                  shooting hoops!
"I made a basket but my mom sucks at camera angles!"

(You can't see it but this little girl offered to share her cupcake with Zo and Zo proceeded to shove the entire thing in her mouth like a squirrel preparing for winter.)

                                                                     Picnic time!

    FIRST DAY OF SUMMER IS
AWESOME! YESSSSS WE LOVE     THIS POOL! THANK YOU SO
       MUCH MOM!!!!

        (Story told by Zo)

New House

It has been 11 days since we've taken up residency in our home. We're all settling in quite nicely. We've colored the patio in chalk monsters, blown bubbles in our new backyard, built a blanket fort, jumped on beds, and gotten adjusted to our new potty seat's (all of us).

However one thing is not changing.

"Mommy can we go to the 'New House' now?"

Yes we're on our way home.

"NooooOoOoOoO WE GO TO THE NEW HOUSE NOW!"

Okay. Yes I hear you. We're going home.

"NO WE GO TO THE NEW HOUSE! YOU TAKE ME TO THE NEW HOUSE! PLEASE TAKE ME TO THE NEW HOUSE! I DON'T WANT TO GO HOME! EVER EVER AGAIN!"

So........   We're in limbo land where our duplex is still considered 'home' and the new house is well, 'New House'.  And she never wants to go home again because the 'New House' is awesome and we live here (which, yes, yes, you are very much so correct little one).

And heaven forbid you use the word home to describe our new house.

The above argument happens at least 6 times a day and all I can do is try to convince this little person that our new house is indeed home now.

Home Sweet Home

We done did it you guys......

We done went and bought a house!

We are now the proud owners of over $100,000.00 in debt and I would not have it any other way!

Yasssssss Girl! Yasssssss! Work it!  Mmmmhmm.  *Finger snap*  (All this while still in my Christmas themed pajama pants- One adult lifestyle change at a time, ya'll!)

And one of the (in my opinion) best parts about this whole thing is that I have my own desk! Finally a proper place to lay my head  , tap my little fingers on little clickity clackity (shut the hell up spell check) keyboard keys!  Wooooo!  And also the fact that both of our little minions have their very own rooms.  (Happy, happy, Joy, joy - you know what it is!)

You guys, Zo, has slept in her own bed, in her own room, for an entire week now!  Can you even believe it because I can't.  I was so very afraid this whole process would involve gnashing of the teeth and screams of protest, and at least a month of my life, but it has actually gone relatively smooth. Besides the fact that she has awoke at 1 a.m. to sing me the song of her people about 5 out of the 7 nights we've been in our new home.  But...... I mean, that equals 2 nights of solid uninterrupted sleep and for someone who's been waiting for this very moment for the last 3 years, I ain't even mad...  Not even a little bit.
And even better, the few times I have drug her into our big people only bed in an attempt to immediately fall back to sleep she has told me in a very matter of fact voice that she needs to sleep in her bed (but that  I must accompany her and also sleep in it- which, no, I don't think so little person with a little bed.).

....... BRB........

Okay, I am back. I had to go wipe a butt that didn't belong to me. And also was just informed that with my glasses on I look "like a REAL mommy".  What does that even mean. I have no clue. Erm, Thanks kid.  We cool. We cool.

So yea, we bought a house and it is the best thing ever and so far there have been no catastrophic events  which have caused us to curse out loud or at the sky and or regret our decision, which at this point even if we did regret our decision (which we don't) HAHAHAHAHAH! YOU JUST BOUGHT A HOUSE, FOOLS, IT IS YOURS FOR LONG LONG TIME!

Shhhhh, don't listen to her, House, we love you......  We'll always love you......
